Re- Strathewen Community Fire Safety Plan
As one of its first tasks in mid 2009, the Strathewen Community Renewal Association Committee conducted a number visioning workshops. The intent of these sessions was to develop an understanding of the community’s hopes and aspirations for Strathewen during the re-building phase and into the future.
The findings from these sessions indentified a number of key issues. These issues have formed the basis of much of the work the SCRA committee has been working on and has lead to a number of projects receiving funding from VBAF.
One of these funded projects is the Strathewen Community Fire Safety Plan and in 2011 a Working Group was established to begin work on the Fire Safety Plan.
The attached pages include details of the working group, what progress has been made to date, and a summary of the topics that the group feels are key to the development of the plan.
The Working Group has reached a point where;
a. Community feedback regarding the work done to date is sought
b. Community participation (by joining one of the Major Topic working groups) is sought
Please take some time to read the attached summary and offer any comments you feel would be helpful – a comments section is included on each page (where applicable).
Also, please consider joining one of the Major Topic working groups. These groups will be lead by members of the Strathewen Community Fire Safety Plan Working Group.
Please respond via e-mail to SCRA (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 29th February 2012.
